Passenger Bus Fire: A major accident was averted near Bamhori Dhaba in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh late at night. A moving bus of Jai Bhavani Travels, en route from Indore to Rewa, suddenly caught fire.

The incident occurred around 1:30 AM. Approximately 50 passengers were on board the bus. The driver of a truck following behind signalled that the bus's tyre was on fire, but the bus did not stop. Subsequently, the truck driver blocked the bus from the front, forcing it to stop, thereby saving the lives of the passengers. Otherwise, a major accident could have occurred if the bus had not stopped in time.

It is being reported that after the bus tyre burst, it caught fire, which quickly spread throughout the entire bus. Due to diesel spilling onto the road from the bus, the surrounding area also caught fire. Passengers panicked, and people began jumping out of the bus even before it stopped, in a bid to save their lives. It is understood that all passengers were safely evacuated with the help of the dhaba operator, his staff, and the bus crew. No passenger sustained serious injuries. Some passengers suffered minor injuries while jumping out of the bus in haste.

Driver and Cleaner Flee

However, the fire was so intense that it engulfed the entire bus within minutes, and the bus was completely gutted. Along with the bus, all the passengers' belongings were also reduced to ashes. Following the incident, the bus driver and cleaner fled the scene.

By the time the fire brigade arrived, the bus was engulfed in flames...

Upon receiving information, the police arrived, while the fire brigade reached the spot about an hour later, by which time the bus had completely burned down. Passengers remained stranded on the road late into the night, but the bus company made no arrangements for an alternative bus.
